Early Arrivals and Late Departures
Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM (Noon on Sundays). We will be happy to grant requests for early arrivals and/or late departures as our occupancy permits.
If your arrival is early in the day and you prefer immediate access, we recommend reserving for the prior night to guarantee access. Similarly, for late departures, reserving an additional night will guarantee access until you leave the hotel. If you choose not to reserve, we will be glad to store your bags.
Guaranteed Reservations
A guaranteed reservation assures you of a room even if you check in late (after midnight). All reservations made through the website must be guaranteed by a major credit card.

Payment and Guarantee Policy:
All reservations require a credit card guarantee due at the time of booking. 1 Night's Room Rate and taxes will be taken 24 hours prior to arrival. This includes the price of the room quoted, $2 CAD Hotel Service Fee, 3% Marketing Levy,14% HST from the Credit Card provided at the time of booking.
Should an issue occur when attempting to take the payment, the reserved room will be released and the reservation automatically cancelled, as the room is not guaranteed. We will notify you of such if we have your contact information email or phone number on file.
Upon checking in, the card must be present, matched with photo identification and the remaining balance along with a $100 Security Deposit will be charged. Should you need to use a card that will not be physically present at the hotel, please contact us directly, at least 24 hours prior to arrival.
On arrival, should you wish to pay for the security deposit by debit, a valid photo ID, matching the name on the reservation will be required at check-in, a copy of which will be kept until check-out and an increased security deposit of $250 will be taken instead of the $100. The $250 deposit is returned at checkout after the room has been reviewed by a staff member, and the debit card must be present to receive this refund.
Cancellation Policy:
As a small hotel we have a strict cancellation policy. Should you cancel or change your arrangements, you must contact us no later than 24 HOURS prior to 4PM local hotel time. Cancellations received later than this time will be charged the equivalent of one night's room charges and taxes.
Note: Room rate does not include breakfast.
Property Details:
Our property does not have an elevator but has a porter to help with the luggage.
Our property is 100% smoke free, including our guest room patios and balconies. All smokers must be a minimum of 4 meters from any entrance to the hotel.
If you are bringing your doggie, please note only certain rooms are pet friendly. Contact our front desk directly to ensure you are booked into a pet friendly room.
Please note: While pre-paid credit cards are an acceptable method of payment upon checkout, we are unable to accept them at check in, or as a method of guaranteeing and/or securing your guestroom.
Third Party Bookings
The Inn accepts bookings made through registered travel agents and Choice approved online travel sites.
The Inn makes every effort to update third party sites on our current policies, procedures and services, it is up to them to advise their clients of such. We strongly suggest all clients check with this site or contact our guest service agent, 800-463-6465 or email, to avoid any misinformation.
All special arrangements made with third parties on discounted rates based on advanced purchases are between the client and the third party – not the Inn. Guests looking to make last minute changes to these reservations should contact their third party booking representative for resolution.
Airport Shuttle:
The Inn provides a shuttle service to and from the airport at an additional cost of $10 CAD roundtrip. The airport shuttle runs from 7am to 11 pm, 7 days a week. Please call 1 800 463 6465 from the airport after you have picked up your luggage from the carousel and expect the shuttle to arrive in 15-20 minutes.
Children
Children 16 years and under, staying in their parents’ room, stay free. Additional rollaway beds will be charged a rate of $20 per day. Playpens are complimentary. Children can also stay in adjacent guest rooms under guardian supervision.

Internet Access
Wireless internet is available in all guestrooms and throughout the common areas. A computer is located in the hotel lobby and guest access is complimentary.
Location
Inn on the Lake is located at 3009 Highway 2, Fall River, Nova Scotia. This is approximately a 10-minute drive from Robert Stanfield International Airport and a 20-minute drive from downtown Halifax. Our GPS coordinates are: 44° 48' 53"N, -63° 36' 42" E. Please see map for further details.
Meeting Facilities
The Inn offers four meeting rooms, the largest of which can accommodate 100 people for a stand-up reception, 80 for a sit-down meal, and 50 for a business meeting. Please see the “Meetings” and “Special Events” sections for more information.
Noise/Parties
The Inn is a haven for rest, relaxation and romance for many of our guests. As such, management will not tolerate any excessive noise or any behavior that may be disruptive to other guests. The Inn will take action to resolve noise and disturbance complaints immediately.
The Inn does not offer facilities for dancing or impromptu parties.
On-Site Dining
We offer room service and on-site dining at Encore Dining Room, Oliver’s Gastropub, and seasonally, on our Poolside Patio. Please see the “Dining” and “Pub” sections for more information on our culinary selections.
Parking
Inn on the Lake offers complimentary on-site parking to all guests. Upon checking in, overnight guests will receive a parking pass to be displayed in their car’s window. We also offer a long-term parking facility at an additional cost. Additional weekly parking can be arranged for hotel guests.
Pets
Dogs are permitted at the Inn in designated "dog friendly" rooms located on the first floor that are easily accessible to our park lands.
Dogs cannot be left unattended in their rooms unless you remain on property and can be easily located should there be an issue. Please inform the front desk if you are leaving your pet unattended. While on property, dogs must be kept on a leash. Dog treats are available at the front desk.
Secretarial Services
Photocopy and fax services are provided 24 hours a day at the front desk for a nominal fee. Outgoing mail can be dropped off at the front desk and the message light on your guest room phone will be turned on should a message arrive for you.
Smoking
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas of the hotel grounds.
There will be a $250 charge applied to your bill if there is smoking of any substance in your guest room or on your balcony/patio.
Taxes
Taxes charged on hotel rooms are 14% HST plus 3% Occupancy Tax, and a $2.00 CAD Hotel Service Fee.
